The waiting room feature in Zoom uses a virtual room to prevent participants from joining the meeting. The waiting room lets meeting hosts control who can join a meeting. Meeting hosts can enable the waiting room feature while scheduling a Zoom meeting. Hosts can also enable the feature during a Zoom meeting.
Enable Waiting Room
While scheduling a meeting at csudh.zoom.us, enable the waiting room feature by going to Meeting Options. Check the box called, Enable waiting room.
Hosts can also enable the waiting room feature during a Zoom meeting by going to the meeting controls and clicking Security.
When the security menu appears, click Enable waiting room. A check mark next to the feature indicates that it is enabled.
Allow Participants to Join
In a Zoom meeting, go to the meeting controls and click Manage Participants to display the participants panel. Participants in the waiting room display at the top of the participants list. Use the mouse to hover over the participant’s name and click Admit to let a participant join the meeting.
