What is it?
Students gain access to their course materials in digital format on the first day of class and will retain access at no cost until the add/drop deadline.
Students have the option to opt-out electronically on or prior to the add/drop deadline.
Students who opt to continue will be charged for the digital materials.
What are the benefits?
Immediate access to materials; delayed payment or option to discontinue and no payment; typical discounts of 10% to 20% over regular digital access and 25% to 60% discount over printed rental or purchase of hard copies, and option for print-outs for the materials at nominal costs.
Course materials are available to students two weeks before the semester starts.
Digitally formatted books are accessible to people with various reading barriers.
Most publishers’ materials are more dynamic and interactive than the same costly, static materials. Students easily adapt to these interactive features. This in turn leads to more academic success.
Faculty can continue to use their hard copy course material at the same time the students can use the same material in digital form.
How it works?
Students receive an email notification that includes pricing information, the discount from analog formats, and the refund procedure. Opt-out information will be sent to students at the start of class.
IMPORTANT: Please note that if you opt-out, you will then be responsible for obtaining the required course materials on your own.
If you would like to proceed with opting-out, please activate your account below before the add/drop date and follow the instructions.
