About The Conference

The array of new technology tools becoming available to educators every day is remarkable. Given the pace at which new products are released, keeping abreast of these new offerings is a challenge. Analyzing what technologies are appropriate to improving the learning process is critical for sound decision-making and is required more than ever in this time of restricted budgets.

Toward that end, California State University Dominguez Hills is sponsoring a regional conference on OCTOBER 16, 2018 for educators, academic technologists, administrators, librarians, and IT professionals to meet to exchange ‘best practices’ with technology in online education, as well as to see what relevant software & hardware products and services are available from industry technology partners.

The registration fee for this one-day Technology in Education Conference includes lunch and parking. Further information available upon registration.

Please avail yourself to the workshops, presentations, and interactive panel discussions by your colleagues in education. These sessions were put together to address everyday issues and practical strategies in successfully integrating technology into pedagogy. Panel presentations being offered are:

  • Assessment in Online Classrooms
  • Best Practices for Interactive Activities In Online Classrooms
  • Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Open Pedagogy
  • Student Retention in Online Classrooms
  • Practical break-out sessions presented by instructors who teach online
